Dr. Knopp’s Biography
Dr. Colton Knopp is a dependable and authentic dentist who believes in making dental care feel more human and less intimidating. Known for his patient-first approach, he focuses on building trust and helping patients feel genuinely supported.
His interest in dentistry began in high school after undergoing several oral surgeries and implants related to a rare tumor. That personal experience showed him the emotional impact of a healthy smile and continues to shape the way he cares for others.
One of Dr. Knopp’s most rewarding experiences involved helping a patient in recovery restore his smile just in time for a job interview. Supporting that transformation, both physical and emotional, reinforced his commitment to providing care that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Knopp joined Willamette Dental for its evidence-based philosophy and focus on prevention, as well as its supportive, team-oriented environment.
Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, camping, and spending time with his wife and three daughters—often on the sidelines of their many sporting events.

Overall absolutely great experience. I use to be so nervous and uncomfortable Going to the dentist but Dr. Knopp and his team are truly amazing. Even the front staff are so friendly and go over everything with you to make sure you understand. I will always go to Willamette!

Dental Hygienist was not personable or friendly. "Relax your gums women" is not a profession statement. I have a lot of dental anxiety and she did not make the experience any better

Please fix your phone system. Southern Idaho is in mountain time so opens earlier than Oregon and Washington. So frustrating to call first thing in morning, knowing the local office is open but I can't get through to the office

The dental hygienist did an excellent job! I have severe anxiety with dentists and my teeth are very sensitive to cold. She went out of her way to make me comfortable and took her time to do a thorough job without causing me discomfort.

I wasn't sure what to expect with my tooth being pulled anyway but I feel like Dr. Knopp did a good job, I know he had to work hard to get it out.. Mel was great help too.. they were both so respectful to me and each other..
