“Knowledge is power,” says Dr. Thakker, who explains processes in detail so her patients always know what they can expect. It’s a dialog that goes both ways, and she always encourages patients to let her know how they feel and how she can support them. She’s proud that her work promotes good habits and that she can change lives for the better. Having moved to Oregon from Ohio in 2020, she likes to spend weekends exploring the beauty of the locality—from the scenic Columbia River Gorge to Mount Hood and the Oregon coast.
