Sophia D. Cohanim, DDS, MSD is a warm, engaging, and detail-oriented provider who is passionate about building trust and meaningful relationships with her patients. One of the aspects of her work she is most proud of is her ability to truly listen to patients’ concerns and tailor treatment plans to their individual needs. By creating a space where patients feel heard and comfortable, Dr. Cohanim finds they become more engaged in their care, often leading to better experiences and outcomes.

Dr. Cohanim grew up around dentistry, inspired early on by her father, an orthodontist. While she explored other interests in healthcare during college, including medicine and psychology, dentistry ultimately stood out as the perfect blend of patient care, problem-solving, and personal connection.

She chose to practice with Willamette Dental because of the genuine care she observed throughout the interview and training process. The strong focus on patient experience, long-term provider satisfaction, and positive outcomes made it feel like a professional home.

Outside of work, Dr. Cohanim can often be found in the mountains—skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer—where she enjoys reflecting, resetting, and spending quality time with the people she loves.
