Jiayu Shi, DDS, PhD
Dr. Jiayu Shi's Biography
Dr. Shi came to Willamette Dental Group after being referred by senior dental school alumni. She wants to provide the highest quality orthodontic treatment and will take as much time as her patient needs to clearly explain procedures and answer any questions that arise. Born and raised into a dental family, her father being a renowned oral surgeon and her mother a general dentist, she’s always been inspired by their stories and wanted to one day follow in their footsteps.
Outside of the office, she enjoys painting and has won several art competitions. Equally interesting is her work at NASA, where she helped in sending mice (micetronauts) to space through the SpaceX-11 rocket to test novel osteoporosis medications under microgravity conditions.
